Bio
I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice and Theatre from the University of Colorado at Boulder,
where I performed in opera and comic opera and earned several scholarships. Throughout school, I
took piano, guitar, and voice, singing not only in various school choirs which included travel to foreign
countries, but in my local church as well.
Some of the various venues in which I have performed are in classical and contemporary ensembles,
operettas, musical theatre, and as a guest artist in churches. I sing and play for church services
including weddings, memorial services, and providing spontaneous song for prayer services.
I have worked backstage in every area, and during college I interned in The Westport Country
Playhouse's summer program in Westport, CT. I have provided vocal coaching for church groups and
have taught as a volunteer at The Salvation Army.
It used to make me uncomfortable to have people say something happened for them/to them when I
sang. Ask my Mom! Now it’s what makes it all worthwhile. As long as people are affected by this voice,
the words, the music, I’ll get up and sing or play no matter what. There have been many personal
struggles but as long as I get up and keep on seeing the response to the gift it makes it worthwhile –
every time. When you give, it brings healing.
